City of Opelousas Addresses Water Service Interruption
on Heather Drive
Opelousas, LA, February 11, 2026— FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The City of Opelousas would like to notify residents of a water service interruption due to
a compromised water main along Heather Drive. The disruption affects residents from
Jake Drive to the bridge, and the Park Vista area.
Public Works crews are currently on-site to repair the damaged main. Water service in
the affected area will remain unavailable until repairs are completed. The City is working
diligently to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our residents as we address this issue.

information becomes available.
