City of Opelousas to Host Public Meeting on Water System Improvement Plan

Opelousas, LA October 26 – The City of Opelousas invites all residents to a public meeting
to discuss the System Improvement Plan for the City of Opelousas Water System. The
meeting will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 5:00 PM in the Council
Chambers at Opelousas City Hall, 105 Main Street, Opelousas, LA.
William Jarrell will present the plan, outlining key findings from recent system
assessments, identified issues, and proposed solutions. The presentation will also cover
projected costs associated with the proposed improvements.
“We encourage all citizens to attend this important meeting,” stated Mayor Julius
Alsandor. “This is an opportunity to learn about the future of our water system and how
these improvements will benefit our community.”
The meeting will be open to the public, and there will be a dedicated time for questions
and comments from attendees.
