ALL BULKY WASTE TO BE COLLECTED, REMOVED, AND DISPOSED OF IN ST. LANDRY PARISH, SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

  1. Place bulk items for pickup in front of your home away from obstructions and safe from powerlines on your scheduled collection day.
  2. Bulk Pickups are limited to (4) four large items and/or up to (20) bags or boxes.
  3. Yard waste (brush, clippings, tree limbs, etc.) must be stacked into bundles/piles not larger than 6 feet long and 3 feet high. No branches or limbs larger than 12 inches in diameter will be picked up.
  4. Roll carpet into a bundle and tie it with rope.
  5. Leave furniture assembled.
  6. Loose and small items must be securely contained, bundled, or bagged.
  7. All leaves must be bagged.

Bulky waste includes white goods (washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, etc.) grass clippings, leaves, limbs (no tree stumps or large branches), sticks, brush, and shrubs generated from routine landscape maintenance of residential properties, waste free of trash, liter, or other collection materials.

Bulky waste does not include agricultural solid waste, residential and commercial construction and demolition debris that requires permitting for disposal, dead animals, hazardous waste, infectious waste, offal waste, stable mater, liquid waste, industrial, institutional waste, or vegetable waste.

Prohibited Bulky Waste is considered to be Commercial construction, remodeling debris, remnants of land clearing or demolitions, household hazardous waste (including paint, motor oil, pool chemicals, etc.), tires, propane tanks, concrete, automotive parts, batteries, or hazardous waste, that should be disposed of commercially. (No tree contractor or commercial debris will be collected.)

Residents are responsible for cleaning up any residue that may remain on the ground in front of their home as a result of collection.

Items resulting from an eviction, move-outs, foreclosure, or storage unit clean-out, will not be collected and need to be delivered to the landfill.

THESE ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PROPERTY OWNER.

Morgan and Morgan will contact/communicate with the Solid Waste Inspector or Executive Director if deemed necessary. Any conflicts or questions will be decided by the Solid Waste Inspector.
