Recent Guests Of Rotary

During the past four months the Opelousas Noon Rotary Club has hosted a number of guest speakers that provided insightful information about a variety of topics that have included information about new businesses, community mental health care, parish school district financing, job opportunities through the Work Force Development program, local real estate, elderly care and two presentations for post-high school career opportunities from community colleges.
On Tuesday the cafeteria and food preparation staff from the Opelousas General Hospital South Campus received a standing ovation from the Rotarians who enjoy their meals during the weekly meetings.
The Rotary Club is also scheduled to staff a booth April 8 at the annual Opelousas Love Fest held in North City Park. Love Fest organizers anticipate having nearly 100 tents that will provide pertinent information.
