Close to 1000 senior citizens joined Rep. Dustin Miller and Opelousas General Health System for a festive day of music, food and holiday cheer.
The Yambilee Building started filling up early as senior citizens, all ready to party, arrived early in order to get the best seating for the party. Santa and Mrs. Claus was there of course and making sure that all of his helpers were handing out Christmas gifts to all of the attendees. It was still early but Leon Chavis and the Zydeco Flames already had the seniors dancing to the Zydeco beat. From 9am-2pm Monday, The Yambilee Building was rocking quieting down just long enough for Santa’s helpers to hand out door prizes and for the guests to enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner. Special guests were Dr. Erica Jones and Lance Armentor, Opelousas General Health System CEO.
