Singleton Receives State Honor

Grand Coteau Elementary principal Brandon Singleton was named Elementary School Principal Of The Year on Saturday during the 19th annual Louisiana Department of Education ceremony held at the World War II Museum in New Orleans.
Singleton, who was appointed principal at Grand Coteau several years ago, has presided over a school that has recently shown continued academic growth, according to state performance scores provided by the LDE.
The awards ceremony included honoring the Louisiana Principal of The Year in addition to the state’s new teacher, teacher of the year, early childhood teacher of the year, early childhood leaders of the year and principal of the year at the high school, middle school and elementary schools.
