St. Landry Now.com photographer Fred Herpin was on the scene Wednesday morning as St. Landry Parish deputies pulled over a vehicle in front of King’s Truck Stop on U.S. 190 between Opelousas and Port Barre.Initial information obtained at the scene indicated the occupants of the vehicle who were not identified, allegedly tossed several weapons into areas around the truck stop. Further information in connection with the incident will be obtained from the Sheriff’s Department and will be published later on the website.
