SHOOTING NOTIFICATION
Sheriff Bobby Guidroz of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office is confirming that his office is
investigating a Sunday afternoon shooting on Burke Manuel Road in the Eunice area.
Reports indicate that the parties were having a verbal disagreement, which turned physical and
resulted in a shooting over a property dispute.
A victim was shot in the shoulder and later released with non-life-threatening injuries. The
suspect was also shot in the incident and was transported to an Acadiana hospital. He is listed in
stable condition.
No other details are being released as this is an ongoing investigation.
