About the BISELL Pet Foundation
The Empty the Shelter Adoption Program is a nation-wide initiative to help homeless and rescued pets find families by making adoption affordable for prospective pet owners. With the shared goal of helping pets find and stay in loving homes, this collaboration will save lives by expanding the foundation’s reach to include more shelters across the country. BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Summer National “Empty the Shelters” will take place at more than 390 shelters in 44 states. Every single adoption saves a life and creates space to save another. As the nation’s largest funded adoption event, “Empty the Shelters” has helped nearly 158,000 pets find loving homes with an average of 1,200 pets adopted per day during quarterly national events.
