VFW Post 8971 Awards “Officer of the Year” to Deputy Rayvin Chenevert
Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz is proud that Deputy Rayvin Chenevert was awarded “Officer of the
Year” from the Doucet-Aucoin Post # 8971 in Eunice. “Deputy Rayvin Chenevert with our
Patrol Division was recommended in exemplary fashion by her supervisor, Capt. Gisha Palmer.
In a relatively short time, Deputy Chenevert has demonstrated all of the qualities that make an
excellent law enforcement officer. To use Capt. Palmer’s words, “With silent determination,
Deputy Chenevert has become one of the best deputies I have had the pleasure to work with in
my 27 years in law enforcement.” That is no small testament, coming from a veteran police
officer who has certainly set the bar high herself.”
Sheriff Guidroz concludes, “We are proud of Deputy Chenevert and her dedication. I would
like to personally thank the Doucet-Aucoin Post # 8971, their members and Commander Robert
Witkovski for their service and their support of law enforcement.”
