The LA Greatness boys and girls team celebrated their debut season, with the girl’s team securing a remarkable win at the 15th Annual End of Summer Showdown held at the University of West Florida from July 28th to 30th.
A reception banquet was held at the Delta Grand Theatre on Thursday evening, hosted by Parish President Jessie Bellard and LA Greatness co-founders Kendrel Hunter and Nathan Kimble II. to celebrate the team’s first season. Team players were recognized and honored at the banquet for their achievements.
“We are thrilled and incredibly proud of our boys and girls for their exceptional performance in their inaugural season,” said Karia Charles, a parent of one of the LA Greatness players.
Parish President Jessie Bellard he stated, “When I first heard that this team from our parish won the national championship during their first year, I knew that we had to do something big for these very talented kids. I am immensely proud of the LA Greatness basketball team and their incredible accomplishment on the national stage. Their hard work, teamwork, and commitment have truly paid off, and it was an honor to host this celebration in their honor.”
