City of Opelousas – Emergency Water Leak Repair and Lane Closure
Opelousas, LA – The City of Opelousas is conducting an emergency water leak repair at the intersection of Vine Street (Hwy 190 East) and Court Street. During this time, the inside left lane on Vine Street at Market Street will remain closed for several hours until all repairs are completed. Signage and an arrow board have been placed along the route to guide drivers and alert them of the closure.
The City asks all motorists to use caution and remain mindful of work crews in and around the repair site.
Additionally, some customers in the area may experience water service interruptions, including low or no water pressure, while work is being performed.
We thank residents, businesses, and drivers for their patience and cooperation as crews work to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
