Despite rainy weather Saturday morning the Make A Difference Day festivities got a late start with Eva Iford welcoming volunteers to the First Harvest Community Garden. Iford has taken part in the Make A Difference Day since its inception and this year was no different with the volunteers enjoying a day of giving and getting to sample some of Iford’s Creole delicacies including red beans and rice and homemade boudin and cracklins.
