BISSELL Pet Foundation, a national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending pet homelessness, is excited to announce it will team up with MetLife Pet Insurance for the foundation’s upcoming “Empty the Shelters” reduced-fee adoption event in July.
With the shared goal of helping pets find and stay in loving homes, this collaboration will save lives by expanding the foundation’s reach to include more shelters across the country. From July 6-31, BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Summer National “Empty the Shelters” will take place at more than 335 shelters in 44 states with spayed/neutered, vaccinated pets available for adoption for just $50 or less.

Here is more information: As our nation’s shelters are overburdened due increased owner surrenders and longer stays for pets, BISSELL Pet Foundation is teaming up with MetLife Pet Insurance to prompt a national call for adoption with its Summer National “Empty the Shelters” reduced-fee adoption event.
WHAT: BISSELL Pet Foundation has teamed up with MetLife Pet Insurance to bring its Summer National “Empty the Shelters” adoption event to more than 335 shelters in 44 states from July 6-31, 2023. Adoption fees at participating organizations will be just $50 or less per cat or dog. As the nation’s largest funded adoption event, “Empty the Shelters” has helped nearly 158,000 pets find loving homes with an average of 1,200 pets adopted per day during quarterly national events.

Note – not every shelter is participating for the full event. Potential adopters are encouraged to visit the “Empty the Shelters” website to find the nearest participating shelter and confirm their adoption day details.
