23 November 2022 (Opelousas, LOUISIANA) — The Charlee Lear Campaign is proud to receive the official endorsements of former opponents, Mr. Donald Broussard and Mr. Matthew LaDay, for Mayor of Opelousas. Both Mr. Broussard and Mr. LaDay ran for Mayor in the November Primary Election.

“Charlee has the skillset and the mindset we need in Opelousas right now,” said Mr. Broussard. He continued, “She understands the changes that need to happen to bring Opelousas into the twenty-first century.” Mr. LaDay said, “I’m putting my support behind Charlee because she is the leader Opelousas needs to make a change.”

Charlee Lear plans to repair water leaks and city roads using federal grant funding and will prioritize public safety by funding better training and equipment for law enforcement. In addition, as Mayor, Lear will attract new business to the city by highlighting the I-49/Highway 190 corridor and develop downtown by removing dangerous, collapsing buildings.

Early voting begins this Saturday, November 26, and lasts until Saturday, December 3. Polls will be open from 8:30 AM until 6:00 PM at the St. Landry Parish Courthouse, 118 S. Court St., Suite 114, Opelousas, LA, 70570. Polls will be open throughout Opelousas from 7 AM until 8 PM on Election Day, Saturday, December 10.
