As part of the Keep Louisiana Beautiful Healthy Communities Grant, artist Michelle Fontenot finished her work on the mosaic public art piece on the water fountain at South City Park. The art has just been completed. The project is sponsored by the Opelousas Downtown Development District (ODDD) with help from the City of Opelousas and Opelousas Main Street.
The water fountain at North City Park will also have mosaic public artwork by Michelle Fontenot in the near future.
