The Opelousas Museum and Interpretive Center hosted the Xactci Dance Saturday afternoon in the main exhibit room of the museum. The dance was performed by the Canned Tinne Apache IndianTribe. The Canned Tinne Apache Tribe has been in Louisiana since the 1700’s. The ritual dance hasn’t been performed in Louisiana for over 160 years.
