Sacred Heart (5-2, 1-1), rushed for 229 yards and took the lead for good in the second quarter after Boyce Schexnayder caught a six-yard pass from Droddy.

Droddy threw another scoring pass in the fourth quarter to Kohen Joubert and ended the game with scoring runs of 15 and 45 yards.

St. Edmund (4-3, 1-1) was limited to 26 rushing yards. The Blue Jays passed for 119 as quarterback Kane West completed 10 of 18 attempts.

The Blue Jays scored the game-opening touchdown with 8:01 gone in the first quarter on a one-yard Taylor Daire run.

That lead lasted less than three minutes, as the Trojans’ Briggs Aucoin ran for three yards and Schexnayder kicked the extra point.

Daire executed an explosive score to start the second half as he took the opening kickoff 82 yards for a touchdown.

St. Edmund running back Kevon Johnson who entered the game with over 1,000 yards, was limited to 43 on 16 carries.
