The Opelousas Catholic offense was methodical as it was effective, while the Vikings’ defense kept any response by Westminster Christian Academy out of reach.
OCS (3-3) continued gaining momentum with a district-opening 52-0 victory and recording a second consecutive shutout.
Westminster (1-5, 0-1) continued a season in which the Crusaders have five injured starters who are apparently already through for the year.

“I thought we were able to maintain a pretty good tempo and intensity. We felt good about our run game and we saw a few things that we thought we could do successfully,”” said OCS head football coach Thomas David.
OCS led 44-0 at halftime, scoring 30 points during the second quarter.
David said the offensive line was one of the differences for the Vikings.
“That group (linemen) have been good for us the last two years and we thought we saw some good matchups for us up front,” David added.
Westminster head football coach Travis Blaize said the Crusaders were limited to one yard of total offense. The Crusaders, Blaize said, also ran only 18 offensive plays.
“(Opelousas Catholic) was able to control the clock and they were dominant. We need to do a better job of getting our players put in the right positions,” said Blaize.

Blaize said having so many starters missing had its effect.
“We faced a team with championship aspirations. They (OCS) are a well-established program that are one of the best teams in our district and they played like it (Friday night),” Blaize said.
Opponents have failed to score against OCS during three of the last four games. In those four contests, the Vikings allowed only 20 points.
Two-way starter John Michael Jarrell carried eight times for 78 yards and scored twice against WCA, while receiver-running back Chris Brown scored once while gaining 89 on eight carries.
Other key offensive performances were provided by quarterback Martk Collins (4 carries, 47 yards) and Dawson Stelly 6-34).
Braylin Ford and Markaas Daugherty each had an interception. Ford returned his interception 30 yards for a touchdown.
