This gorgeous accordion made by Leland Colligan is one of the many items that will be auctioned off for the FUNraiser’s Concert for a Cure, benefitting children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The third annual FUNraiser’s Concert for a Cure is set to take place at Evangeline Downs Event Center on Saturday, July 15th from 1pm to 10pm. The event is being presented by the Crawfish Boss, featuring special performances and a live auction you don’t want to miss out on!

Doors will open at 12pm. Entertainment starts at 1pm with Alex Touchet. Louisiana Red will follow at 2:30pm. The next performer to take the stage will be Kaleb Olivier at 4pm. Clay Cormier will follow at 5:30pm and play until 7pm. At this time the live auction will take place with donated prizes that guests will have a chance to bid on to take home. Marc Broussard will close out the evening starting at 8pm. With a line-up like this and the many incredible prizes that will be up for grabs it will be an evening of fun entertainment you don’t want to miss.

As Mike Soileau stated, “The average Marc Broussard ticket this year sells for $63.50. For $50 you will get his performance plus 4 more musical acts. On top of that you are directly helping save lives of children with cancer. If this isn’t a win/win for everyone I don’t know what is.”

In addition to a couple of beautifully handcrafted accordions, an autographed guitar by Country Music Singer/Songwriter Morgan Wallen will also be up for bid!

There are currently 68 silent auction items and 20 live auction items that will be available to bid on! Just to name a few, some of these include:

  • A “mini” bathroom makeover
  • Crawfish boil for 30 with a 2-hour show with Adam Leger
  • A 2-hour show with Geno Delafosse
  • A tailgating package for the Auburn/LSU game
  • A coffee/wine bar
  • Gift basket and private tour from J.T. Meleck Distillers
  • 3-night stay in Orange Beach
  • A handcrafted dollhouse

A silent auction will also be held with items you can view and bid on before the event. All proceeds from the auction will go to children battling cancer.

FUNraiser’s Concert for a Cure was started in 2021. In each of the previous 2 years the concert brought in $75,000. It costs somewhere in the neighborhood of 30k to put this event on. Once all expenses are paid, EVERY penny is donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The goal this year is to raise $100,000 the day of the event.

I’ve had a vision for many years about hosting a concert to benefit St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. – This event takes many many hours of planning and executing. We all have full time jobs and families to take care of as well. We truly appreciate all of the folks involved in making this a successful event.” Says Mike Soileau, FUNraiser’s for St. Jude Inc. CEO and local St. Jude Ambassador.

Tickets to the concert can be pre-purchased online here. If you don’t wish to attend the concert, you can still participate in the auction to bid on items that will available for viewing prior to the event.
