Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “On May 25, 2025 the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office
responded to a complaint of an armed robbery that occurred on Division Road in Arnaudville.
The complainant informed deputies that he was lured into the area on the pretense of making a
music video, for which he would be paid. Once at the address, the victim was using one of the
suspect’s phones to record the video and upon its conclusion the scene turned into a severe
beating and armed robbery. The victim was able to get to a relative’s home and contact law
enforcement.” Sheriff Guidroz concludes, “The temptation to earn money, become famous or
just use whatever talents you may have can come with risks. There will always be individuals
who will use any means to deprive you of your belongings. Reporting these crimes can give us
the opportunity to get these dangerous people off the streets and receive justice for the victim.”
Anyone with additional information about this crime is encouraged to call the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office
