Join us for a celebration of the St. Landry Parish Veteran Class of 2026 including a uniform
display and presentation. The event takes place Wednesday, Nov 11 at 1 p.m. 2026 at the
Opelousas Museum at 315 N. Main Street, Opelousas, LA 70570.
The program is a collaboration between the Opelousas Museum, the Opelousas Veterans Day
Organization, and the St. Landry Parish Veterans Memorial Organization. There will be a
presentation on American Military history by James Douget that will explore the connection
between the American Revolution and the service members being honored through the exhibit.
The exhibit will consist of the inducted class’ full uniforms accompanied by portrait and
biographical information. Come to learn about brave modern service members who serve today
and those of the American Revolution.
