A fire on South Union Street in Opelousas last night did heavy damage to Kelly’s Diner, a popular restaurant that has operated in Opelousas for over 40 years. The fire was reported by employees at Pizza Hut last last night. Most of the damage was done to the diner part of the operation.
According to a message on Kelly’s FaceBook Page:
Our little Diner will be out of commission for a while. Praise God it wasn’t worse than this!!! Everyone is ok!! We will be up and running ASAP!
