St. Ignatius School hosted St. Landry 4-H for the annual Food Festival where 4-H members competed in various food categories.

4-H members from local clubs across the parish participated in the Food Festival with dishes in Beef, Rice, Egg, Sweet Potato, and Pecan categories. Participants who placed Best Overall in each category will go on to participate in the Regional competition.

Beef Cookery – Landon D. from Leonville Elementary and Jameson T. from St. Ignatius Elementary
Egg Cookery – Dessert- Presleigh C. from Beau Chene High and Anna S. from St. Ignatius Elementary

Egg Cookery – Other – Khi B. from New Life Christian Academy and Emma Q. from Leonville Elementary

Pecan Cookery- Dessert – Isaac F. from MACA and Alivia G. from St. Landry Home School

Pecan Cookery – Other – Daniel F. from St. Landry Home School

Rice Cookery – Beckham C. and Landon D. from Leonville Elementary

Sweet Potato Cookery – Dessert – Miriam A. from St. Landry Home School and Garron G. from St. Ignatius

Sweet Potato – Other – Sophia C. and Lillian L. from St. Ignatius Elementary

Participants also competed in a Consumer Foods contest and participated in activities with a cookie decorating workshop and games.
