CASA of St. Landry-Evangeline held their annual Christmas Party at the Opelousas Civic Center on Thursday for foster youth in St. Landry and Evangeline Parish.

It was an event filled with love and joy as lots of wrapped gifts were unloaded and sorted by volunteers to hand out to foster children through the generosity of the community from donations.

Vendors and stations were provided to families on resources, fun activities for the kids, personal hygiene items, and food and refreshments for families. Students from the Magnet Academy for Cultural Arts also dressed up as characters to spread holiday cheer to families who came out.

The event was a great success, fulfilling the mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates who are dedicated in making a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children.
