The St. Landry Chamber of Commerce held its second Annual Business Summit on Friday at LSUE.
The summit is the largest gathering of businesses, industry education, financial leaders and organizations from and around the parish.
The goal of this event is to provide networking and business opportunities while fostering the exchange of ideas to help set the stage for further economic growth in St. Landry Parish.
This year’s summit consisted of breakout sessions with panels of guest speakers on various topics from the Impact of Education on Workforce Development to Hot Topics in HR.
St. Landry Parish Tourism’s own Herman Fuselier was the moderator for the panel on The Business of Arts & Culture. The session featured zydeco musician Wayne Singleton & Same Ol’ 2 Step, Targil Seasoning & Butcher Supplies CEO, Ted Bellard and Billy’s Boudin co-owner, Patsy Frey
Keynote Speaker Karli Sherman also presented a great talk on Courageous Leadership.
