NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a Special Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Opelousas, State of Louisiana, has been ordered and called and will be held at their regular meeting place in the Meeting Room at City Hall Municipal Plaza, 105 N. Main Street, Opelousas, Louisiana, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 2:00 o’clock P.M. for the following purpose(s):

- ISSUE A PROCLAMATION TO CALL FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF FILLING THE ANTICIPATED VACANCY CREATED IN THE OFFICE OF ALDERMAN, DISTRICT A, CITY OF OPELOUSAS, DUE TO ALDERMAN MILTON BATISTE III’s ANNOUNCEMENT OF HIS INTENDED RESIGNATION EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 13, 2023.
And to take all action necessary in the premises and to take up all other matters which
