The residents of J.M. Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville celebrated Independence Day in style with fun activities.
Like many holidays, Independence Day can be difficult for those who can no longer live independently, and often miss out on these celebrations while the rest of the world celebrates. However, the administrators and staff of J. M. Morrow Memorial made sure this was not the case for their residents. J.M.M.M.N.H staff hosted a Family Fun Day celebration on July 3rd. Family and guests were welcomed with festive decorations as they came out Monday evening to spend with residents playing games, prizes, hotdogs, and sweet treats.

Young visitors joined in the fun in a game of beach volleyball with the residents which also included prizes. They also enjoyed playing games of corn hole. Local youth group members from Port Barre volunteered their time to provide patriotic face painting. All enjoyed hotdogs, music, and delicious frozen refreshments.
It was a great evening for those to feel included in the celebration for Independence Day.
