Two arrests have been made in connection to a video of a woman who was seen throwing two dogs into a dumpster near an Opelousas business Sunday evening.
On June 2nd, at approximately 6:30 PM, surveillance video captured footage of a woman dumping two puppies into a trash can outside of Sebastian West End Seafood, located at 1538 W Landry Street in Opelousas. Also, in the video, the female is accompanied by a black male that is wearing a yellow shirt and black shorts.
After the video circulated on social media, investigators Spencer Cornette & Mark Kidder quickly responded to the case. With the assistance of the public and St. Landry Crime Stoppers, both individuals were identified, Jasmine Mouton and Kendall Tyler, both 22 years old of Opelousas.
St. Landry Parish Government Investigators said both could face charges of aggravated animal cruelty.
