For the 11th year Melissa Hall, along with her volunteers, have celebrated Autism Awareness Month in the month of April. On the day before Autism Awareness Day Hall along with Flo Hammond and Matthew Hammond were in downtown Opelousas announcing the events planned in Opelousas to promote autism awareness. On Wednesday, April 2, an autism breakfast, hosted by Judge Ledrika Thierry, will be held at the Yambilee Building. On Friday, April 4, an event is planned at Truth Is Ministries located on West Vine Street in Opelousas. The autism awareness celebration concludes on Saturday, April 26, with autism awareness march and a family fun day to be held at South City Park.
