LOUISIANA EARNS BERTH TO NCAA STARKVILLE REGIONAL
Ragin’ Cajuns to face Cincinnati on Friday at 6 p.m.
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Baseball team earned its 20th appearance in the NCAA
postseason on Monday and will travel to the NCAA Starkville Regional, which begins on Friday
at Dudy Noble Field.
Louisiana (39-23) earned an at-large berth and will face Big 12 member Cincinnati (37-20) on
Friday at 6 p.m. The game will be available on ESPN+ with fans able to listen locally on KPEL-FM
(96.5) and worldwide on the Varsity Network app.
No. 16-ranked and host Mississippi State (40-17) will open the regional on Friday at 1 p.m.
against Atlantic Sun tournament champion Lipscomb (29-24).
The Ragin’ Cajuns earned their fourth trip to the NCAA Regionals in the past five years after
advancing to the Sun Belt Conference Championship Game for the third time since 2022.
Louisiana reached the regional final of the 2024 NCAA College Station Regional and has
advanced to the Super Regionals four times (1999, 2000, 2014, 2015) in program history.
The Starkville Regional will be paired with the Athens Regional in the NCAA Tournament
bracket.
