The Opelousas Museum would like to invite everyone in the community to our first annual Hanukkah Party on January 2, 2025, from 5:30-7:30 PM.

The festivities include a talk by Mr. Leslie Schiff, who also will be celebrating 64 years of practicing law in our city, about his experiences as a member of the Opelousas Jewish Community from his childhood through the present. The evening also will include a demonstration of how to light the candles on the menorah. Attendees will enjoy traditional Hanukkah foods like latkes and sufganiyot (doughnuts) while listening to Hanukkah music and participating in dreidel games and arts and crafts for children and adults.
