Congregation Temple Emanuel Honors the Victims of October 7 th

Congregation Temple Emanuel joins the nation of Israel and communities from around the world
in remembering the 1,200 victims of the October 7 th terrorist attacks, as well as the soldiers who
have fallen in the conflict that followed.
Through Flags of Fellowship, 1,200 Israeli flags were provided in partnership with the
International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and are being displayed in our cemetery as
symbols of remembrance, resilience, hope and strength. This visible tribute stands against anti-
Semitism and offers a heartfelt message to the people of Israel and all who have lost loved ones:
You are not alone.
In this moral and spiritual struggle, we choose to answer hate with love, falsehood with truth,
fear with courage, and despair with unwavering faith.
May the memories of those who were lost be for a blessing, and may their families find comfort,
strength and peace.
A very special thank you goes out to Stephanie G. and Layla T. for their selfless and dedicated
assistance in planting all 1,200 flags in the Temple Emanuel Jewish Cemetery. Their hard work
brought this vision to life and created a breathtaking memorial.
We would also like extend our sincere gratitude to the International Fellowship of Christians and
Jews for their generous contributions and steadfast support in spearheading this important effort.
Sincerely,
M. Troy Weinstein, President
