There was a party going on at Senior Village Nursing Home Wednesday afternoon. The special guest of honor was Mr. Ernest Guillory who was celebrating his 100th birthday, born January 21, 1926. As Shannon Winbush , Beverly Guillory and Angi Kennerson lit the candles a room full of relatives and friends all sang Happy Birthday to the honoree. Ernest was born and raised in Chataignier, La. in Evangeline Parish. Ernest credits his long life by living by God’s will, prayer and always being happy. He also said that his favorite food, seafood, was also another reason for his longevity. He doesn’t have any hobbies but he does enjoy playing bourre and receiving scratch tickets in the hopes of hitting a jackpot. Happy Birthday Mr. Ernest Guillory!!!
