I am forwarding to you the information regarding the FoodNet Food for Families food drive going on tomorrow, December 10. We are asking for participation by schools, Childcare centers, businesses, Civic Organizations and individuals. Bring your food items to any of the locations, but the Super1 location coordinated by the St. Landry-Evangeline United Way is aiming for raising 8 tons of food! Almost 60% of our neighbors are struggling to make ends meet, many only one emergency away from a real financial crisis.
If you are in a position to help, please do. If you know someone who is in need, your donation will help them this season through the following food pantries/shelters that are participating at the Super1 location:
- Refinery Mission
- I.C.O.N.S. Food Pantry
- St. Landry Parish Community Action Agency
- G.U.M.B.O. (Arnaudville – New Live Community Church)
