Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “On October 15, 2024, deputies responded to an unknown medical complaint
on Nap Lane near Opelousas. The resulting investigation revealed that four individuals drove up to a home and
attempted to rob the resident of his dog. The victim was allegedly pistol-whipped to the point of
unconsciousness, with one of the pistols broken in the process.” Sheriff Guidroz continues, “The investigation
by our Patrol Division resulted in two of the alleged suspects being identified through a photo lineup. Kelbe
Deshawn Jordan has been arrested and the accomplice, Tawaskie Ledet is being sought.”
