Attempted 2 nd Degree Murder
Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “Near midnight on September 13, 2026, deputies responded to a report of
trespassing off Hwy 767 near Eunice. The property owners had approached the alleged trespasser while in his
vehicle. They were threatened with a gun, and, as Karm attempted to drive off, struck the property owner and
drug the owner’s son as he (Karm) attempted to leave. Using various resources from Eunice Police
Department, Eunice Fire Department and Fire District 6, the suspect was found. Karm had abandoned the truck
and lost some of his clothing after navigating in the 100+ acres of briars and wooded area.” Sheriff Guidroz
concludes, “Having the resources of the various police and fire agencies created a safer operation for the
firefighters, officers and the alleged suspect. Despite the seriousness of the event, no loss of life, no serious
injuries and the safe apprehension of Karm was the best possible outcome.”
