JSLCA Moves Forward

State and local elected officials gathered Tuesday morning to acknowledge the construction progress for the new J.S. Clark Leadership Academy school construction at the junction of La. 357 and Park Avenue in Opelousas.
The new school according to JSLCA charter school officials will accommodate students in grades 7-12 and include gymnasium, auditorium and athletic fields.
Speakers at the ceremony which featured a beam signing made by students at the school, included State Senator Gerald Boudreaux, school officials and students and Opelousas Mayor Julius Alsandor.
