Patrice Melnick, Opelousas Museum and Interpretive Center director, cuts the ribbon officially announcing the grand reopening of the city’s museum on Thursday, Feb. 10. On hand for the event were members of the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce and well wishers from throughout St. Landry Parish. Hosting the event was Mayor Julius Alsandor who acknowledged supporters of the museum including Herman Fuselier, St. Landry Parish Tourism, Melanie LeBouef, Opelousas Tourism director and Lena Charles, Downtown Development director.
