Opelousas Imperial Mardi Gras Parade Rolls Tuesday, March 4th

(Opelousas, LA) – The Opelousas Imperial Mardi Gras Association (OIMGA) presents the Opelousas Imperial Mardi Gras Parade on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.  The parade will feature King Imperial VI, Herman Fuselier; Queen Lily VI, Rhonda Bergeron; and the Royal Court, floats, beads, festive throws, marching bands, and more.

The Opelousas Imperial Mardi Gras Association is honored to announce that this year’s parade Grand Marshal will be Mr. Martin Roy, Jr. Mr. Roy has been an integral part of the local landmark Roy Motors, established by his father, Martin Roy, Sr., in 1936, here in Opelousas, LA. Mr. Roy has continued to uphold his family legacy of eight and a half decades of dedication to service by treating customers and staff like family, ensuring that Roy Motors remains a pillar of our community. Mr. Roy will be a true representative of the Mardi Gras festivities.

The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Academy and Landry St. (US190 West) and will head west on Landry St. to the Yambilee Building, where it will disband.
