WANTED AND DANGEROUS – HOMICIDE SUSPECT

OPELOUSAS POLICE DEPARTMENT SEEKS PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING HOMICIDE SUSPECT

The Opelousas Police Department is actively searching for WAYNE EDWARD ANGELLE, who is wanted in connection with the homicide that occurred Saturday evening, October 10, 2026, near the intersection of Melancon Street and Jefferson Street in Opelousas.

ANGELLE IS CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS.

Angelle is wanted on the following charges:

🔴 First Degree Murder

🔴 Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities

🔴 Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

🔴 Theft of a Motor Vehicle

⚠️ PUBLIC SAFETY WARNING: Anyone who sees Angelle or knows his whereabouts is strongly urged NOT TO APPROACH, CONFRONT, OR ATTEMPT TO APPREHEND HIM. Immediately contact law enforcement.

We are asking our citizens to share this information. Someone knows where this individual is, and that one piece of information could help bring justice to the victim’s family and protect our community from further violence.
