About the Market

We’re aiming to make the Opelousas Downtown Market a place where folks can gather, eat good food, and enjoy some live music. We want it to be a place where families can make memories and where our young ones can learn about business and selling their stuff.

Now, growin’ something like this takes a little somethin’ extra. We need help to bring in some local talent and offer Art Walks and Downtown Alive-type functions. We also want to give our young folks a chance to set up a little stand and sell their homemade goodies or crafts.

“It takes money to make things happen, and we’re asking for your support. Every dollar counts, and it’ll go a long way in making this market the heart of our community. Let’s work together to build something we can all be proud of!”

Support your local market, and let’s make it a place where everyone feels at home.
