Mark your calendar for the annual Veterans Day celebration beginning on November 1st with a meet and greet breakfast followed by a flag raising ceremony and a Veterans Day parade. All of the above events take place at Le Vieux Village (Farmers Market) beginning at 9 am
Sponsoring the event are Dorothy Thomas, Rose Minix and Annie LaFontaine. Other veterans events in the month of November are musical selections hosted by Dorothy Thomas and the Ruth Davis Mountain Climbers beginning at 6 pm at Little Zion Baptist Church located at 128 North Academy Street. Closing out the monthly veterans celebration will be a Veterans Gala beginning at 6 pm at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church Parish Life Center. Guests admission is $40.00 and you must have a ticket. Admission is free for veterans.
