For many St. Landry Parish residents who might be unaware of health care availability, the Jordan Graves non-profit organization is available to provide answers and access.
Paula Jordan provided a snapshot at the Tuesday Noon Rotary Club meeting of how the St. Landry Parish-based health care group assists rural community residents with information, testing and screenings for overall livelihood improvements.
The Foundation is concerned, Jordan said, with overall wellness and committed to providing healthier lives.
Since its inception the Foundation has partnered with the American Lung Association and faith-based organizations like the Knights of St. Peter Clavier, which Jordan said is the largest Catholic lay organization in the world.
Jordan Graves is primarily an outreach organization that uses fund raisers and health fairs to set up clinics and events to provide answers to issues such as HIV care for women and problems that originate from lung problems, Graves said.
