Prompt Succor Nursisng Home got a jump on Mardi Gras festivities Wednesday afternoon when they held their annual Mardi Gras Parade and Ball. It was a fun day for the residents and visitors as they welcomed the 2026 Mardi Gras King and Queen Paul and Mercedes Guillory. The royals ruled over the festivities as Mardi Gras music got the crowd in a festive mood. Staff members saw to it that everybody got into the Mardi Gras season by an performing an extended version of the chicken dance with residents with the residents joining in. And what would a Mardi Gras celebration be without a second line dance staged by everyone in attendance. Following the ball king cake and punch was served by the dietary staff.
