RAYNE, La. — Celebrate the rich heritage, traditions, and enduring spirit of the Acadian people at the 2nd
Annual Acadian Day Celebration on Saturday, August 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the historic
Bernard Bertrand House in Rayne, Louisiana.
This family-friendly event honors the vibrant Acadian culture that continues to thrive in Louisiana. Visitors of
all ages are invited to experience a morning filled with music, history, language, and traditional fun.
One of the highlights of the celebration will be the Tintamarre, a traditional Acadian marching parade where
participants are encouraged to bring bells, pots, pans, and other noisemakers. The Tintamarre is a joyful
expression of Acadian pride and serves as a powerful reminder that Acadian culture is alive and well.
The celebration will also feature:
Live Cajun music
Traditional children’s games
A French Table where guests can enjoy and practice the French language
Opportunities to learn more about Acadian history and heritage
Whether you have Acadian roots or simply enjoy Louisiana’s unique culture, the 2nd Annual Acadian Day
Celebration offers a welcoming opportunity to connect with one of the state’s most treasured traditions.
Admission is free and open to the public. Bring your family, your friends, and your noisemakers as Rayne
comes together to celebrate the resilience, language, music, and traditions of the Acadian people.
