Heather Adams unsuspectingly inherited a quadruple workload soon after becoming a bookkeeper for Andrepont Printing, but she’s not complaining.

In fact Adams told members of the Opelousas Noon Rotary Club on Tuesday that she now looks forward to working every day, despite having to juggle financial information dispatched from several locations.

The attitude Adams has displayed over the past two years hasn’t gone unnoticed after she was announced as the club’s 2024 Office Employee of The Year during a ceremony held at the Knights Of Columbus Hall.

Adams was hired at Andrepont Printing in 2022.

However four months after she began working at the Opelousas business, things changed.

Andrepont Printing acquired BodemullerThe Printer and the workload for Adams doubled. Since then the companies also began operating three other Lafayette print shops.

“Heather has handled it capably and gracefully and always with a smile. She has demonstrated her professionalism at ever turn and gown to be a critically important member of our team and family,” wrote Andre Andrepont, who operates the Opelousas and Lafayette printing companies.

Andrepont said her demeanor makes Adams an important worker.

“She is a joy to work with and she makes our burdens lighter. We are so grateful for her hard work and dedication,” said Andrepont.

Adams told the Rotarians working at the printing businesses has for her “been a dream come true. When I got there it actually felt like home to me and now I get up and enjoy going to work.”
