WHEREAS, Exit 19, at Mile Marker 20, that drivers take while traveling South on
Interstate-49 can be difficult and dangerous at the end of the exit when merging with traffic
on State Highway 190 and, therefore, the St. Landry Parish Council has resolved to request
that the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) conduct a study to
determine if a turnaround is needed on the exit at Exit 19, at Mile Marker 20, on Interstate-
49 in St. Landry Parish.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the St. Landry Parish Council does hereby request that the
Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) conduct a study to determine if a
turnaround is needed on the exit at Exit 19, at Mile Marker 20, that drivers take while
traveling South on Interstate-49 in St. Landry Parish, which leads the drivers to merge with
the traffic on State Highway 190.
