The St. Landry Parish School Board will hold a public hearing and meeting on Thursday, August 8, 2024,
to adopt the adjusted millage rates and roll forward the millage to not exceed the maximum rate.
The public hearing and meeting, as outlined below, will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the Resource Center, 1013
Creswell Lane, Opelousas, Louisiana 70570.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S.
47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the St. Landry Parish School Board in St. Landry Parish will be
held at its regular meeting place in the Resource Center located at 1013 Creswell Lane, Opelousas,
LA on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage
rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and
rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax
revenues to be collected in the next year from the increased millage is $17,353,811.63, and the
amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $515,878.42.
