Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “Today, Narcotics Investigators with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office
conducted a joint operation with Homeland Security and the United States Postal Inspectors at 745 Hall Street,
Opelousas Louisiana. This investigation revealed that the major component of synthetic marijuana (MDNB-

[Type text]
INACA) was shipped from China making its way into the United States and ultimately at the home of Logan
Thomas.” Sheriff Guidroz added, “This investigation discovered that Logan Thomas was one of the largest
suppliers of synthetic marijuana in St. Landry Parish and this seizure represents the largest interception of its
kind in the parish thus far.” Sheriff Guidroz continued, “Both Logan Thomas and his girlfriend Shante Thomas
conducted narcotics transactions with a minor child in the residence.”
The search of the residence produced the following:

$ 8,936.00 in U.S. currency
2.67 lbs. of MDMB-INAC
Manufacturing equipment and laboratory safety equipment
4.6 lbs. of synthetic marijuana
1 – digital scale
Handwritten recipe to manufacture synthetic marijuana
Several miscellaneous documents for Logan Thomas.

Sheriff Guidroz notes, “The ability of our Narcotics Investigators and our own SWAT Team to coordinate and
execute a successful operation on this scale is truly an example of “Committed to a Higher Standard”. As this
case illustrates, criminals will use resources far beyond our nation’s borders. We must be able to coordinate
with other agencies to combat these bad actors to ensure the safety of our citizens.”
